Tom Jones - Introduction

Sir Tom Jones, KBE (born Thomas John Woodward on 7 June 1940) is a Welsh singer particularly noted for his powerful voice and overt sexuality. Since the mid 1960s, Jones has sung nearly every form of popular music - pop, rock, R&B, show tunes, country, dance, and techno. Tom Jones has sold over 100 million records. Tom Jones was born at 57 Kingsland Terrace in the unassuming mining village of Trefforest, Pontypridd, near Cardiff, . His parents were Freda Jones (died 7 February 2003) and Thomas Woodward (died 5 October 1981), a coal miner.
